Is the game being shown on TV at all? Never really followed Europa League games so have no clue as to who has the broadcasting rights.

Oh he is quite capable of speaking for himself, my little interjection was just a passing thought in time whilst pondering

I don't fancy our chances as it goes and would rip your arm off for a draw

Crassus

Weren’t you interested in finding out what the result of Twundle’s thought process would be?

Crassus 5:51 Mon Sep 13
Re: Team for Dinamo Zagreb
Diop Zouma Og
Coufal Cresswell
Kral Rice
Tommy
Vlasic Antonio

Perhaps if he goes that way, with an option to hook Diop, flip to a flat four and bring on Bowen or Come On Benny

I'd stick with 4231 myself, starting with Zouma

I would expect them to come on to us, which suits our counter attacking game ideally

Time will tell

Who would you play in a 3/5 formation, Twundle?

Jasnik 5:23 Mon Sep 13
Re: Team for Dinamo Zagreb
Antonio will play as he can't play against ManU

Lee Trundle 5:18 Mon Sep 13
Re: Team for Dinamo Zagreb
It wouldn't surprise me to see us go 3/5 at the back, thinking about it.

Considering Yarmas record for Ukraine, against European sides he wouldn't be a bad shout to start.

Re: Team for Dinamo Zagreb
I reckon Yarmo will be decent in Europe.

Plus Bowen will be deputising for Antonio on Sunday so no harm in resting him.

I definitely wouldn't be dropping Bowen for Yarmalenko on Thursday.

Alan - Let's have this right they're shit and we should beat them at a canter with out a full strength side ;-)

They knocked Spurs out of the competition last season, beating them 3-0 in Zagreb (Orsic hat-trick).
If you want to see how they did it:-

Re: Team for Dinamo Zagreb
Makes absolutely no sense not to play the very best players we can - this is the critical tie of our league phase
They are not only a good side but a cursory look at Croatian football will tell you that their sides regularly exceed the sum of their parts when representing their nation
They will be bang up for it and whilst we can't win the thing Wednesday we could be well down the path to going out

Re: Team for Dinamo Zagreb
Yup, and knowing our luck we'll end up coming 2nd and getting Barca.

Lee Trundle 1:17 Mon Sep 13
Re: Team for Dinamo Zagreb
Doesn't whoever finishes 2nd place play one of the Champions League rejects?

There's an added incentive to finish first.

Re: Team for Dinamo Zagreb
Makes no sense to field a weak squad, for a competition we're aiming to qualify for this season.

Hammer and Pickle 12:57 Mon Sep 13
Re: Team for Dinamo Zagreb
Making the required rotation to field the strongest sides possible and sustain both PL and EL campaigns is the basic requirement here.

I don't see a need for a formation change and playing a back three of centre backs with Coufal and any of Cresswell/Johnson or Fredricks on the flanks would be unnecessarily negative. However, Kral for either Rice or Sucek would make sense, as would Vlasić for Benrahma.

Anyway, can't wait till Thursday.

0-0 will be the aim. I would expect 5 at the back and maybe not a lot of ambition.
